"The new analysis confirms that the Arctic Ocean warmed remarkably 55
million years ago...by an enormouse outburst of heat-trapping, or
green-house, gases like methane and carbon dioxide. But no one has found a
clear cause for the gas discharge.
"The samples also chronicled the subsequent cooling, with many ups and
downs, that researchers say began about 45 million years ago and led to the
cycles of ice ages and brief warm spells of the last several million
years.....

Scientists recently made
the shocking discovery (despite the predictions of their very best
computer models) that the region near what is now the North Pole was at
one time a sub-tropical paradise with weather conditions much like that of
southern Florida today. It was, we may assume, a pristine eco-system teeming
with life. Pantheistic eco-environmentalists would surely tell us that here
was a picture of Mother Nature's glorious fecundity in perfect
balance, unspoiled by the evil pollutants and gaseous ravages of
the perverse technological modernisms of selfish Western man....
And yet long ago, something terrible happened there. For some
reason that scientists do not yet understand, Goddess Gaia herself turned
her back on this polar paradise and rendered it frigid and barren.
Today, of course, the region is still a brutally cold,
inhospitable place where only Santa Claus, his tiny helpers and a few
reindeer can survive for more than a week or two.
The problem now for scientists is to try to figure out how their
highly-advanced, climate-change-detecting computer models could have had it
so wrong. How could the arctic region have been so warm in the
first place? And how could there have been so much greenhouse gas build-up,
imbalance and fluctuation to have precipitated such heat and then
subsequently such a deadly and dramatic cooling change?
How could this have happened in a pre-Hummer, pre-SUV world?
How could this have happened so long before the Republican
Party even had its first nominating convention?
How could the knowledge of scientists have been so far off base?
Inquiring minds want to know.....

Heaven help us! It's a crisis! Out of nowhere.... Arctic blight! Goddess Gaia, how'd ya do it... With no S.U.V.'s in sight!?
Think of all the gas imbalance That Big Mama's Hummer wrought! Think of all those little critters She wiped out right on the spot!
Think of those computer models That the Eco-Greens so tout... Think of all those faulty figures! Garbage in and garbage out!
Think of Gaia's Green Gas-Guzzler! How
destructive! How uncouth! Think about the ruined Arctic... And its inconvenient truth!
Think about the hot-air spewing From the lips of Mr. Gore.... Think of all the greenish nonsense That has washed up on the shore.
Think about the fear and panic, "Sky's-a-falling!"
Al-chemy.... Think about Gore's carbon footprint... (Think about hypocrisy!)
Think about the nasty rumors Found in Chicken-Little Land... Pointing fingers from Kyoto... Snarling,
"Guilty! Western Man!"
Think of all the pristine forests, And that lush-green canopy That Sweet Gaia and her Hummer Once destroyed so wantonly!
Think about this globe-a-warming... "Omigosh! We're gonna fry!" Think about Green PETA-Panic And the endless "Wolf!" they cry.
Think about North Polar regions And the wasteland we now see! Think of Gaia's gas-emissions.... Heartless Wench! Toxicities!
Think about the lovely Garden Frigid Gaia once destroyed; With her pedal to the metal... Deadly gases she deployed!
Think about the Arctic Circle And how
green it once was there! Think about the GangGreen message And how Gaia doesn't care!
Think about the "Eco-balance"... Paradise!...it must have been! Think about the toxic gases Mother Nature had pumped in!
