"The Church of Dreamy Dreamers"
"The choice to try
to live in the Garden without any boundaries has reshaped every
hunger within the human heart." --Ravi Zacharias
"A church in which scriptural teaching is no longer
authoritative is already going with the world and has no ground
on which to stand against it....The idea that freedom is what
you have when you have thrown off all that represses or
constrains you is a false trail which leads nowhere save to
puzzlement and disillusioned bitterness." --JI Packer
"Real freedom is freedom from sin." -JI Packer
"The Church of Dreamy
Dreamers"
The liberal Church of Dreamy Dreamers,
Has dismissed God's holy Word.
The reverie that they believe in,
Is indistinct and clearly blurred.
The Feel-Good News the dreamy preach there,
Won't allow true Truth or Rule.
'Cause Rule suggests true Boundary,
And today that's just not cool.
What the liberal prophets teach us,
Is that "Freedom is your Bliss".
They say that freedom is the bullseye,
That we surely shouldn't miss.
What they tell us "freedom" is, though,
Is really anybody's guess.
They say the target we should shoot for...
Well...it's unclear and vague, at best.
It seems the bullseye's quite subjective...
You can dream your freedom up!
It's whatever makes you happy, man.....
Whatever fills your cup.
It can be a groovy feeling.
A satisfaction of desire....
It can be a state of consciousness,
Like a drug to get you higher.
It can be some secret knowledge,
Like a Gnostic ego-trip.
Or attaining lofty status,
Where nobody gives you "lip".
It can be something erotic....
A "Trophy Bride" who's fit to kill.
Or max exhilaration...
Like skydiving for a thrill.
It's found in a new "right" you have,
To kill your tiny 8-month old;
And it's found in teaching children,
That they evolved from ancient mold.
It's somehow buried in the notion,
That man can make up Moral Law,
Or re-imagine what a marriage is,
Since God's way is clearly flawed.
In the Church of Dreamy Dreamers,
The Fog of Freedom frees at last!
And though we can't see where we're going,
We know we're moving downhill fast!
You see, this "freedom" 's like a phantom
Moving through a hazy maze.
It's not easy to define it....
But to preach it really pays!
But this dreamy freedom's Evil,
>From Satan's Realm of Touchy-Feel.
But then dreamers never really dream,
That Evil's really real.

Dear Lord, impress upon us,
That true freedom's in the Son.
That freedom from our bondage,
Is through God's Anointed One.
Christ redeemed those locked in bondage,
By His blood we have been bought.
True freedom's in obedience,
And in doing what we ought.
Truth is, we're locked in darkness...
Truth is, Faith is the key.
Faith unlocks the door to freedom...
True Truth sets the prisoner free.

"Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD his God,
the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them---
the LORD, who remains faithful forever.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed,
and gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets prisoners free...." (Psalm 146: 5-7)
"Simon Peter answered, 'You are the Christ, the Son
of the living God.'
Jesus replied, 'Blessed are you Simon son of
Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by
my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates
of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys
of the kingdom of heaven....." (Matthew 16: 16-19a...)
"To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, 'If
you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you
free." (John 8: 31,32)
"The Hemingway
is Here to Stay"
"Imagine a number
of men in chains, all under penalty of death, some of whom are
each day butchered in the sight of others. Those remaining see
their own condition in that of their fellows, and looking at
each other with grief and despair await their turn. This is an
image of the human condition." -Blaise Pascal

"...Another form of despair [is] running from the truth of
death. It does not succeed in avoiding death, only in avoiding
truth." -Peter Kreeft

"There's no one thing that is true. They're all true."
--Ernest Hemingway
"What is moral is what you feel good after. What is immoral
is what you feel bad after." --Ernest Hemingway
"The
Hemingway is Here to Stay"
The Hemingway's
Now on display...
Sophisticate of doom.
His lemming way
Is here to stay.
Abysmal darkness croons.
It's understood
That "feeling good"
Defines for us what's right....
Our lech'rous stands
And leprous hands
Have ushered in this blight.
The Superman
Of Nietzsche's Clan...
Evolvo-Man from ooze,
Keen macho-Pride
On Ego-glide
Deriding God's Good News.
Let's join the crowd!
Pull up that shroud,
So Sin we all can hide.
For Heaven's sake!
Enjoy the wake,
Of Ernest suicide.
His body? Cold.
His bell has tolled...
His sun did also set.
The Lie he brayed,
Big Game he played...
Then finally lost his bet.
So "Cheers!" to you!
Let's down a few,
Straight existential shots.
It's understood,
Right's feelin' good!
Despair is our main plot.
El Toro, man!
El Nietzsche's fan,
Drinks deep from glasses full!
He's feelin' good!
Though soon he would
Be gored by his own bull.

Dear God, this hearse
Of Mankind's Curse
Keeps rolling through the straits.
But by your Grace
We see your Face...
The face The Liar hates.
You've had Your say,
The Truth, the Way...
You offer us the Key.
But still we scoff,
And push You off....
And say, "I trust in Me!"
The Hemingway
Is here to stay.
The Fall's what Adam chose.
But now...we see,
Bright Calvary....
The Son Who Also Rose.
The Grace He brings
To mankind sings
Of Glory, Hope and Love.
The story told,
Grows never old...
This Plot is from Above.

told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you."
