"The Forrest View"
(A Most High Tautology)
"We have established scientifically some disquieting facts: 1) human
beings have evolved from non-human life forms.....
"....The problem of meaning is easily resolved for those who embrace
a preconstructed system of meaning such as religion. However, religion
cannot help us find meaning in any honest sense unless it can assimilate the
truth about where humans have come from, and the only real knowledge we have
about where we came from we have acquired from science."
Thus saith Barbara Forrest, lead proponent of Darwinism and Metaphysical
Scientism and outspoken "point-person" for keeping Intelligent Design from
being discussed in the science classroom. Science and the scientific method,
she tells us... (with humble authority)... is the only reasonable source
of objective truth. She says it's the only place where mankind may
discover "honest" and "real knowledge".
Ms. Forrest's statement, of course, begs the question: Is her bold
declaration of "fact" a scientific and objectively true statement
(as she seems to insist)...or is her statement itself based upon Faith
in a materialistic metaphysic and worldview? .......
******************
"...if materialism is true, then reason itself is impossible. For if
mental processes are nothing but chemical reactions in the brain, then there
is no reason to believe that anything is true (including the theory of
materialism)...This is supremely ironic because Darwinists--who claim to be
champions of truth and reason--have made truth and reason impossible in a
world governed only by chemical and physical forces....
"To say something is unreasonable, Darwinists must
know what reasonable is. To say something is not
designed, Darwinists must know what designed is. To say something is
not true, Darwinists must know what truth
is, and so forth. Like all non-theistic worldviews, Darwinism borrows from
the theistic worldview in order to make its own view intelligible."---

"....and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden."
(Genesis 3: 8b)
"The Forrest Dogma" (A Most High Tautology) Naturalism's Forrest Dwellers Slow-evolving... limb to limb. Hiding in the shade and shadow... Avoiding Light... Denying Him. "What Design!?" we hear them chatter... "We've got
Science on our side!" "Life's just Natural Selection!"
...(plus a liberal dose of Pride?) "We're just offspring of the monkey, Who was offspring of the squirrel... We're collecting nuts for winter In this Accidental World." "Yes! We're lost here in the detail, Branching out to heights unknown. We're
The Naturally Selected ... See how large our heads have grown!" "We are
Scientists...All-Seeing, And we see there's No Design!
That's it!...No more discussion. Please sit down.....
WE draw the line!" "All debate is now off limits... Just repeat , Sir, after me: 'Naturalism is The Template
For The True Reality.' **** Pagan Rites in New High Places... In these groves we worship still. Burning incense at the altar... Humanism fits the bill. ******* Nature Priests have all consulted, And it seems most now agree To do Science by consensus... Removing objectivity. It's a
fact... So just accept it! We grew from "Mud-Fortuitous"... Naturalism, Sir,
demands it! You can't disagree with us!
***** Disregard this Forrest Reason That can only see the trees; Though for some it's perfect logic To trust Most High Tautologies. It's The Way of Humanism; It's the Dogma of the Sage. Some might say they're "Stuck on Stupid"... But it's "the wisdom of the age". So, aghast we watch them climbing... We react with shock and awe. Out on limbs... They're shinning farther! Oh!...Dear God!
They've got a saw!
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
"For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you
will be like God, knowing good and evil."--- (Genesis 3: 4,5)
"Belief in evolution is crucial to Humanism's worldview
as are its atheistic theology and naturalistic philosophy...without the
theory of evolution, the Humanist would have to rely on God as the
explanation of life, which would necessarily destroy his Atheism and his
Humanism." --David Noebel |
